As the Pandemic recedes, the new procedures will enhance the service offerings going forward.

Persons who would like to learn more can read the full post at https://www.sunshinecoasthealthcentre.ca/our-response-to-covid-19/. Here are the basics. Clients are no longer expected to do a three-to-five day medical program. With rapid testing now available, clients will complete an initial test upon arrival and then can begin using all normally available services and facilities right away (unless they require withdrawal management or detox). Five days later, second and likely final, COVID testing will be done. This will allow clients to access services and amenities much quicker if they are well enough to do so. Vaccination will not be required to attend but remains recommended. Clients arriving by plane are required to show proof of vaccination to airline(s). In addition, there will be a return to outings in public areas. Clients will follow mask and social distancing requirements on each outing. Facilities and businesses that allow for private bookings will be arranged as so in advance.
