I. RESIDENTIAL PROGRAMS FOR MEN
YOUR INVESTMENT - When you add it all up - staff qualifications, a newly-expanded facility, oceanfront setting, and many "extras" included in the residential fee - Sunshine Coast Health Center is an excellent value for anyone considering private addiction treatment.
YOUR FAMILY - If you are a family member or spouse, staff at Sunshine Coast we are committed to supporting you before, during, and after treatment with complimentary services that include: telephone support, a 3-day program for family members, a 1-day program for spouses, online support (via the Internet), and reunions held in key cities.
YOUR LONG-TERM SUCCESS - Sunshine Coast is committed to staying connected to our alumni with significantly reduced re-admission fees, a full-time alumni coordinator, and a host of complimentary services such as refresher weekends, reunions, and online support.
Programs for New Clients
30-day Accelerated Program - $15,840 CAD ($528 per diem)1
42-day Primary Program - $18,400 CAD ($438 per diem)
60-day Extended Program2- $28,880 CAD ($398 per diem)
90-day Extended Program2 - $31,500 CAD ($350 per diem)
Fees listed above do not include 12% Harmonized Sales Tax (HST). A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required to hold a bed for a specific date and will be applied towards the cost of treatment upon admission.
(1) Note: The per diem rates shown do not reflect intensive administrative and clinical services provided in the initial stages of treatment. Therefore, refunds are not provided on a pro rata basis. For more information contact the Admissions Department.
(2) Note: Clients who are 19 to 22 years of age at the time of admission may be required to enroll in the 60- or 90-day Extended Program at the discretion of clinical staff.

Admission Support
Case management by one of our trained Admissions Coordinators directly available 24 hours a day
Travel booking services for flights (actual flights payable on admission)
Vancouver airport, Comox airport or Comox ferry terminal travel assistance (layover support and transportation between airports)
Pick up at the Powell River airport or ferry terminal upon arrival (includes drop-off upon program completion)
Detoxification/Medical Programs
2 days and nights of safe medical detoxification managed by highly trained nursing and support staff ($150 for each additional night )
Initial consultation with physician within 24 hours of admission ¹
Special detox unit - At Sunshine Coast, clients stay in the medical unit and are transferred to the residential program only after approval by the Medical Director. Clients will experience the negative effects of withdrawal under the close supervision of medical staff and will not be expected to participate in group activities until they are deemed medically fit.

Clinical Addiction Program
Based on cutting-edge research on bio-psycho-social components of recovery, with a special focus on helping clients live a personally meaningful life. Program is evaluated regularly by in-house and independent researchers.
Counselling with master's level clinical counsellors (includes small group therapy, individual therapy, and the latest in addiction education)
Each client has an assigned counsellor responsible for his individual programming
Individualized case consultations provided by a skilled team including our Medical Director, Psychiatrist, and Program Director.
Special program content for clients struggling with mental health, trauma, gambling addiction, sex addiction, etc.

Recreation Program
Fitness assessment and personal fitness program development with registered kinesiologist
On-site wellness therapies including massage, ozone therapy, etc.

Refresher program visits for sober alumni looking to reconnect with staff & participate in group. Typical stay for refresher program is 2 days.
Participation in alumni reunions in Vancouver and select cities
Post-treatment therapeutic communication with client's individual counsellor by phone or email via full-time alumni coordinator
(1) Note: 95% of clients are seen within 24 hours by our Medical Director
(2) Note: Canadian residents with valid health insurance only. International clients can expect an average bill of $2000 CAD for these services.
(3) Note: Does not include personal housekeeping. Clients are required to make their own beds and tidy their personal effects.
(4) Note: Subject to availability. Additional family members may be included for $150 per person
Our rates do not include adjunct therapies not provided on campus (i.e. acupuncture, chiropractic, etc.), airfare (see Airfare to Powell River below), dental work, prescription drugs, and personal items. American clients will be charged for medical services (see Medical Fees below).
Medical Fees
Clients are required to stay their first night in the Medical Unit for monitoring of their physical and emotional health by our medical staff at no additional charge. Additional detoxification deemed necessary by the Medical Director will be subject to an additional charge of $150 for every day following the second night in detox (note: most clients require only an overnight stay in the detox).
Medical services are billed to the client's provincial medical insurance plan (i.e. MSP, Alberta Health Care Insurance, Ontario Health Insurance Program (OHIP), etc.). Clients who do not have valid provincial health plan coverage1 will be charged for physician visits, psychiatrist visits, lab work, and, if necessary, hospitalization.2 Typically, additional medical fees average $2000 CAD. Payment for additional fees is due prior to client discharge.
(1) Note: clients with overdue provincial health insurance premiums, clients residing outside of Canada, or residents of Quebec. (2) Note: hospitalization may be required for clients who require acute care due to medical or psychiatric complications.
Private Accommodation
An additional surcharge of $95 per diem plus 12 percent HST will be applied for clients requesting guaranteed private accommodation. Conditions will apply.*
(*) Note: Clients applying for private accommodation will have their medical and psychiatric history reviewed prior to confirmation. Clients who are at-risk and require closer supervision will be recommended semi-private accommodation in the Main Residence located on campus.
Airfare to Powell River
Sunshine Coast Health Center has secured a reduced rate * for flights to Powell River from Vancouver via Pacific Coastal Airlines. Let our Admission staff reserve your flight and make your trip as worry-free as possible.

Method of Payment & Payment in US Dollars
Sunshine Coast Health Center accepts cheque, money order, wire transfer, Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
Clients paying with a US credit card will be charged in Canadian dollars. The actual amount paid will be indicated on the credit card statement following an exchange rate adjustment as determined by the credit card company. Clients paying by cheque in US dollars will be subject to the Canadian/American dollar exchange rate established by our Canadian bank. Actual fees for clients paying in US dollars will be based on the Canadian/American dollar exchange rate at the time of deposit. Please call us first for the amount payable in US dollars.
Programs for Alumni Re-entering Treatment
The Alumni Program is available for alumni (returning clients) who have successfully completed a residential program at Sunshine Coast. Since the daily rate of $350 is a significant reduction from the fee for new clients, an additional $600 surcharge will be added for each day required in medical detoxification.
There is no fee for the Refresher Weekend program (see above) but reservations are required and are subject to availability. Call toll-free 1-866-487-9010.

II.II. PROGRAMS FOR THE FAMILY
A. FAMILY & COUPLES PROGRAM
The Family & Couples Program is complimentary if you have a family member, employee, friend, or partner in one of the men's residential programs (see above). Participants in the Monday Couples Program must have a spouse/partner in the Residential Program. If you do not have a significant other in a residential program, a charge of $150 plus tax will be applied.

B. FAMILY ONLINE SUPPORT
Alumni of the Family & Couples Program receive Family Online Support: weekly online lessons designed specifically for families & partners impacted by a loved one's addiction.
